The primary focus of my practice is helping you develop and maintain an appropriate estate plan for your particular needs and circumstances. At the most basic level, this means drafting wills, revocable trusts, health care proxies and durable powers of attorney.
If you have a larger, taxable estate, I will work with you to help you understand some of the more complex and sophisticated planning options that are available to you so that you can consider some additional lifetime wealth transfer strategies. These include Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts (“GRATs”), Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts (“ILITs”), Intentionally Defective Grantor Trusts (“IDGTs”), Qualified Personal Residence Trusts (“QPRTs”), Family Limited Partnerships (“FLPs”), Spousal Lifetime Access Trusts (“SLATs”) and several other available strategies.
